Richmond Show

Got home from the show at about 9:15. What a day. It was my first show, and I just can't say what a wonderful experience it was. I got to meet Jim, Mike (MGTarHeel), Ken from TBP, and a whole bunch of other interesting and friendly folks. Scored a bunch of good 'baccy, and traded a pipe with Walter Hettinger. I brought some pipes for him to look at, and he had some critiques, but also a lot of good things to say about my work. Dad and I listened to Russ Oullette, Jeremy Reeves, and Per Jensen talk about Tobacco and blending. Then, they had large containers of all their blending tobacco set out for us to mix up our own blend. Everyone was just extremely friendly. It was an awesome day, and Mac Baren/Sutliff did it right.

Sounds awesome. Sometimes I wish I wasn't so old and broken down... I know I would enjoy the experience of those shows.

Martin, it would be just awesome to sit down with you to smoke and talk. Especially in a setting like that.

I forgot about this, and I don't know how: I met Basil Meadows, who is QUITE a character. I put money down on a Bing. He's holding it for me. I'm really excited about this.

Jim, you just missed seeing your old buddy Ruff! He was going to be there, but he had to work late.
