Just opened a bag of Penzance. I've had 2008 Penzance. It was pretty damn good. This fresh bag? Holy shit. Never had anything like it. I'm not posting this to brag, and I'm lucky to have snagged this stuff. It's just so different. I'm smoking it in a shitty shop pipe (good smoker, though). Haha.

Now smoking D&R Raccoon’s Friend in a Savinelli Chiara prince. I was going to purchase more of this and Raccoon’s Delight (same blend without Latakia), but unfortunately it’s no longer produced. The bright Virginia was processed using the perique method. The result is a uniquely fermented VA. They were also used by Russ Oulettee in three of his blends : Acadian Gold, Acadian VaPer and Acadian English.

I just opened a tin of Hearth and Home Rolando’s Own (‘14) in a sandblasted Brebbia squashed tomato with a tortoise shell acrylic stem. If this were still available it would be in my top five. I found a tin last week and immediately ordered it.

For almost two years, I’ve been trying to find someone to trade with, but haven’t had any luck. Yet I cannot understand why they ceased production?
