What Is In Your Pipe?- July 2020.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, fresh corvina fillet and asparagus dinner with peaches, strawberries and pineapple for dessert. I'm a quarter of the way through this bowl of a freshly opened pack of year 2005 Sam Gawith Kendall Plug in a 1980 medium bend black sandblasted silver band Peterson Donegal 805 Bulldog and a taped black vulcanite p-lip saddle stem. The plug is still moist, dense, black with a few sugar crystals and amazingly deep in flavor. Watching the Braves getting their brains out by the Rays. I think it's time to walk the dog on this game.

First time with Stockton by Mac Baren and I guessed right in pairing it with vanilla iced coffee. At least I think so. Pipe made by cramps.

Tin note is of sweet grass, a field of hay, a bit of molasses and earthy notes. The moisture level isn’t bad and is smokable from the tin but for me, a bit of drying out helps for a better smoke all around. Rubs out easily, dries out to perfection quickly and packs well. The beginning of the bowl is a great balance of sweet with a dash of spice/pepper along with grass and hay. Quickly more earthy notes come into play and its just a wonderful full on medium bodied tobacco experience. Everything you think of when it comes to a straight forward pipe tobacco blend of Virginia. The last quarter of the bowl gets a little darker or leathery you could say. For my pallet I also get a kind of prune essence to the smoke. The whole experience is a real good tobacco lovers smoke.
