Sold the Ranch

Today, I sold the ranch in Rio Vista, CA.

I just couldn't deal with it anymore. Too much.

The cows will be fine... the buyer is a good friend.

It included the house on the golf course... I can't golf anymore.

Time marches on.

Makes sense then, Martin. Story of my life is what I can't do, but today Xuan and I have been married 34 years, and though I had to remind her a dozen times who I was I was able to follow it up with plenty "I Love You" sentences

Congrats to you and Xuan, David... that is a milestone achievement and speaks volumes about your relationship.

I'm sure the experience was somewhat melancholy. I "moved back to town" last year and am hunkered down now for the last round up. It's just the way of things and has to be done. The alternative is to be a major pain in the ass to everybody left you know on your way to the next phase.

You have way too much class to pull that one. Good on you Martin.

That's a bummer, Martin.  At least you've some consolation in knowing it's not a stranger in your old place.
